James P. Johnston, BCO, BADO 
is a board certified, board approved diplomate ocularist. He has been working in the field of ocular prosthetics since 1984 and serves as president and chief ocularist of Ocularists Ltd.

Ruth Johnston, D-ASO
grew up in the family ocularist office and officially began her career at the age of 16. After years of hands-on training, she completed her ocularist degree in 2026 and is now a Diplomate of ASO.

Katie and Paty
are our committed administrative office staff here at Ocularists Ltd. Our office manager, Paty has been in the medical billing field since 2011 and has extensive experience in claims and billing. Trained receptionist Katie is a scheduler who is ready to help you with any appointment questions you may have.

James Johnston received certification through the late Robert B. Scott’s prestigious resident training program, the first ocularist training program established in the United States. Ruth Johnston is a second generation ocularist. Both are proud members of the American Society of Ocularists.
